I had a beautiful little sermon prepared about forgiveness. Then life decided to hand me a much better topic.
Something happened today. I made a choice I'm not particularly proud of. And the worst part? I knew better WHILE I WAS DOING IT.
So I tossed my carefully prepared notes and decided to talk from the heart.
Tonight's sermon is about CHOICE. The little decisions we make every day. Knowing right from wrong. That little voice in our heads that tells us we're about to screw up... and our remarkable ability to tell that voice to shut the hell up.
But more importantly, it's about recognizing our mistakes, owning them, and making the conscious decision to do better tomorrow.
We had some laughs, got a little personal, and kicked off what I hope becomes a pretty special weekly gathering.

Knowing the difference between right and wrong doesn't make you a good person. What you choose to do with that knowledge does.
