3) Keep ticking. Take the time to learn what makes your partner tick. Pay attention to their passions. It could be anything from cars to social injustice. If they're passionate about something encourage them to stay involved weather it involves you or not. 

4) One of the strategies you should have in the back of your mind is comparison. When you compare your partner you're setting yourself up for failure. Love your partner for who they are not who you want them to be.
